Question 1

What is PlagCheckr?

Accepted Answer

PlagCheckr is an AI-powered platform that detects AI-generated content and plagiarism in documents. We analyze your text using machine learning models and compare it against web pages and academic sources.

Question 2

How does PlagCheckr work?

Accepted Answer

Create a free account, purchase the credits you need, upload your document, and get your plagiarism and AI-content detection results with a downloadable report.

Question 3

Do I need to pay to create an account?

Accepted Answer

No. Creating a PlagCheckr account is free and no card is required to sign up. You only need to purchase credits when you want to use the document-checking service.

Question 4

Do I need a credit card to sign up?

Accepted Answer

No. Signing up only requires your name, email, and password. A payment method is only needed later, at checkout, when you decide to purchase credits.

Question 5

How do I check a document?

Accepted Answer

Sign in to your account, make sure you have credits, then upload your document from the dashboard. You will receive plagiarism and AI-content detection results with a downloadable report, usually within a few minutes.

Question 6

How long does a document check take?

Accepted Answer

Most document checks are completed within a few minutes. Processing time can vary depending on document size and system load.

Question 7

What is a credit?

Accepted Answer

1 credit equals 1 complete document check, including AI detection, plagiarism checking, and a downloadable PDF report.

Question 8

Do credits expire?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Credits are valid for 30 days from purchase. If you have unused active credits, you can purchase the same or a larger credit package to carry forward your remaining credits and renew the combined balance for another 30 days. Smaller packages become available after your credits are fully used or expired. Expired credits cannot be carried forward.

Question 9

Is there a subscription?

Accepted Answer

Plagiarism and AI-content checks are prepaid: buy a package when you need it and nothing auto-renews. Humanizer plans are billed monthly and are listed separately on the pricing page.

Question 10

Is there a daily checking limit?

Accepted Answer

No. You can use as many of your purchased credits as you want in a day, up to your remaining balance.

Question 11

How does volume pricing work?

Accepted Answer

The more checks you buy at once, the lower the price per check. The rate for your quantity tier applies flat to your entire purchase — for example, 25 checks at $2.50 each costs $62.50.

Question 12

Can I choose exactly how many credits I want?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Choose a preset package or enter any custom quantity at checkout — there is no upper limit, and the rate for that quantity applies to the whole purchase.

Question 13

Can I buy more credits later?

Accepted Answer

Yes. While unused credits remain, a new package must be at least as large as the original package those credits came from. Unused checks carry forward, and the combined balance is valid for 30 days from that purchase. Once credits are fully used or expired, any package size is available again. Nothing renews automatically.

Question 14

How does the plagiarism checker work?

Accepted Answer

Your document is compared against web pages and academic sources. Matches are shown with source evidence in your report so you can review exactly what was found.

Question 15

Will my document be added to a plagiarism database?

Accepted Answer

No. Your submitted documents are handled privately and are not intentionally added to a public plagiarism database.

Question 16

Is PlagCheckr the same as Turnitin?

Accepted Answer

No. PlagCheckr is an independent product and is not affiliated with Turnitin. If your institution requires a specific tool, please check with them which reports they accept.

Question 17

How does AI content detection work?

Accepted Answer

Our models analyze writing patterns in your document and return an AI-probability signal together with supporting evidence, so you can review the result in context.

Question 18

How accurate is AI detection?

Accepted Answer

AI detection is an analytical signal, not absolute proof of authorship. Results should be used as a guideline alongside the report evidence and human judgment, since no detection system is perfect.

Question 19

What are report highlights?

Accepted Answer

Report highlights show you exactly which parts of your document are flagged for AI content or plagiarism. This feature is optional and can be generated after your initial report is completed.

Question 20

What file types are supported?

Accepted Answer

We support DOC, DOCX, PDF, TXT, and RTF files.

Question 21

How large can my document be?

Accepted Answer

Uploaded documents can be up to 100MB in size.

Question 22

Are my documents private?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your submitted documents are handled privately and are never shared with third parties.

Question 23

How long are uploaded documents retained?

Accepted Answer

Submitted files are retained for up to 30 days.

Question 24

Can I delete my document before 30 days?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can delete your submitted files manually from your dashboard before the 30-day period ends.

Question 25

Are uploaded documents automatically deleted?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Submitted files are automatically deleted after 30 days.

Question 26

What payment methods do you accept?

Accepted Answer

Nepal (NPR): FonePay QR, eSewa and Khalti. International (USD): secure checkout through Paddle and Dodo, accepting major credit and debit cards including Visa, Mastercard and Amex, Apple Pay, Google Pay, UPI, and popular local methods such as Klarna, iDEAL, Bancontact, Pix, WeChat Pay and bank transfers. The exact options depend on your country and are shown at checkout.

Question 27

Can I get a refund?

Accepted Answer

All purchases are final and non-refundable because credits are delivered instantly upon payment. The only exception is a system error on our side, such as being charged without receiving credits or being charged twice. If a document analysis fails due to a technical error on our platform, the credit is automatically restored to your account. Please see our Refund Policy for details.

Question 28

How do I delete my account?

Accepted Answer

Request deletion by emailing support@plagcheckr.com. Your account then enters a scheduled deletion state and is permanently deleted after 30 days. If you log in during those 30 days, the deletion request is cancelled and your account is reactivated.

Question 29

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can request your personal data through our privacy and data-request process by emailing support@plagcheckr.com, and our team will prepare your export.
